Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel were called on Nov. 4 to a stretch of the eastbound lanes of the interstate near Monument Drive, where there was a crash that left two people trapped and shut down all eastbound lanes.

According to officials, two people were extricated and taken to local hospitals for treatment and evaluation of undisclosed injuries.

The Virginia Department of Transportation said that the right land and right shoulder were closed during the investigation into the crash.
